The Marlborough Racing Club’s winter meeting was concluded to-day in fine weather, the attendance being again large. Following are the results:
Trial Handicap.—Doticemnt 1, Unlikely 2, Hallucination 3. Won by four lengths. Time 1.3 3-5. Third Trot—Asia 1, Quincelyn 2, Imperial Dolly 3. Won by four lengths. Time 5.18.
President’s Handicap.—Esperance 1, Barleycorn 2, Galore 3. Cheer Up also started. Won by a head. Time 1.47 3-5. *
Welter Handicap.—Silk Rein 1, Sir Wai 2, Wamba 3. Won by two lengths Time 1.31 1-5.
Telephone Handicap—Waimatoa 1, Sweet Memory 2, Gold Problem 3. Time 1.16.
Hack Handicap—Jackeroo 1, Waimahoe 2, Jonquil 3. Won by a length. Time 1.1 1-5.
Fourth Trot—Handsome Lad 1, Peter King 2, Woodland Rose 3. Mon by three lengths. Time 2.28 3-5. Farewell Handicap—Silk Ribbon 1, Gold Problem 2, Lady Lucullus 3. Won by three-quarters of a length.
