GibsonOLDFIELD’S INJURY, MELBOURNE, May 4. The Cricket Board of Control has cabled to ascertain the extent of Oldfield’s injury. Should it prove more serious than anticipated, steps will immediately be taken to send a wicketkeeper to replace him. CRICKET TOUR OF AFRICA. (Received this day at 1.30 p.m.) CAPETOWN, May 4. The Manager of the cricket team has cabled from London that they arrive in Durban on October 17th. and leave Capetown on December 2nd. INJURIES NOT SERIOUS. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. . Oldfield’s injuries are not serious. He expects to resume- practise next week. Meanwhile his arm is undergoing massage.
