“POOR RELATIONS.”— TO-NIGHT! TO-NIGHT!

Pollards star attraction for this evening is a drama of human values showing that good breeding is more a matter of kindliness of heart than superficial , polish. A wholesome, homely telling of a great truth the unmasking of the snobbishness of a culture founded on dollars. It is so true to life that ev’ry man and' woman who sees it will le'l that some part of it is from his or her own experience. The theme ot “Poor Relations” is expressed in one of the introductory titles. “Though you! speak with the tongue of good broiling and are of the first family if you have not love, you are as sounding br.ss or a tinkling cymbal.” There is a 1 u of homely humor, too, in the pictur l , and quaint philosophy that rings tru • The only problems involved are the rin.ple heart problems of sincere natures, contrasted with the specious pleasures of the idle rich, and these are resolved in a happy ending. THURSDAY. To-morrow (Thursday) evening Pollards’ Greymouth orchestra will play the symphony music for the screening o! tins picture programme to be presented. At the commencement of the second portion of the programme, a special musical entertainment will be given, on the stage by members of the orchestra, comprising a violin solo, “Home Sweet Home” by Mr R. Cullen; trio “Barca roll,” Mr Glaysher harp, cello Mr C. Moss, and clarionette Mr E. Moss; clarionette solo, Mr E. Moss; cello solo, Mr C. Moss; and harp solo “Watching the Wheat,” (a), “The Waterfall” (b), as played by Mr H. Glaysher at the Greymouth Orchestral Society, and who was a member of the Royal Artillery Band, Woolwich.
