FOOTBALL

At a meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union held at Greymouth last evening an application was received from a Kumara League player, asking for re-inslatement. It was resolved that it he a recommendation to the Subunion at Hokitika that his request lie granted. Further, that any player who had not previously been disqualified by the N.Z.R.U. for playing League, he permitted to rejoin the Rugby Union on making application on the form provided.

The following is the suggested programme of rep. matches to be planned with a view to the selection of the team to represent West Const, prior to a combined West Coast-Buller team being picked to play against the visiting South African team on July 13th: — June 18—Tnnngahun v. Hokitika, at Greymouth.

June 25—Greymouth v. Hokitika, at okitika.

July 2 —Greymouth f v. Inangahiia, at Reef ton.

July 9—West Coast v. Duller, at G rev mouth.

July 13—Combined West Coast-Buller team v. South Africa, at Greymouth.

The above is a tentative programme subject to revision after consultation with the Unions concerned.
