POLLARD’S PICTURES.

THREE STARS TO-NIGHT

To-night Pollards are showing one of the best programmes seen in Hokitika for some time, three star pictures will bo screened, headed by the Big British production of Nat Gould’s famous racing drama “A Great Coup,” starring three of England’s famous screen actors Poppy Wyndham, Stewart Rome and Gregory Scott. During the war period the British makers of film had to close down, but are now making up for lost time in the beautiful productions that are now coming to hand. The second star picture to-night is a First National drama starring Owen Moore in “Piccadilly Jim,” and the third feature shows tho world’s favourite comedian Larrv Semon in “The Fly Cop,” a rib tickler. On Wednesday next Pollards arc showing ft Robinson Cole Feature entitled “Poor Relations” starring Florence Vidor and Lasu Pitts.

FATTY ARBUCKLE—TUESDAY

Fatty Arbuckle—the world’s King comedienne —is to be seen at McLean's Pictures at the Princess Theatre tomorrow night. In the world-famous role of the jovial round “Sheriff Slim”. Hoover Roscoe Arbuckle comes to millions of friends in his first big feature comedy-drama. Its a blithsomo story of a young man who was a hero, yet could be roped and tied without a kick. For under the light of f ho maiden’s eyes Sheriff Slim Hoover was weak as a new-born calf. But bring on your greasers, outlaws, half breeds, Indians and things and he’d brand the wildest bullock that ever ran amuck. A romance as big as all outdoor. The supporting cast includes Jane Acker, Wallace Berry, Mabel Juliene Scott, Irving Cummings, Tom Forman, and Guy Oliver. Mothers bring your children Husbands bring your wives and laugh and be happy for to-morrow we may die. A splendid supporting programme includes an attractive comedy and fine graphic.
