IN IRELAND.
A Notable Proclamation A SINN FEIN SPLIT. CRY AGAINST IMMORAL LEADERS. AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION, f LONDON, April 26 An extraordinary proclamation has keen posted widely in Queen County, indicating a revolt within the ranks of the Sinn Fein, against the terrorism of the extremist leaders. It says from the comfort and safety of his hiding place in Dublin, our Commander-in-Cbief told an American journalist that the Crown forces were virtually beaten. Does any sane man in the volunteers believe such claptrap. We understand why our leaders, safely hidden in the bedrooms of their femaie admirers in Dublin, and handling vast sums of Republican money, should desire the prolongation of this unequal struggle. The Castle hirelings are in no hurry to arrest them. In the scheme of settlement they "ill get a free pardon. In short —they have a good time. These Sinn Fein men, leading immoral lives in Dublin, have set up a reign of terror, destroying as robe-
spierres. The proclamation concludes—Volunteers think for yourselves.' ‘ Collins can’t murder all of us. If Father O’Flanagan and Bishop Clone had been left alone, we could have had an honorable peace long ago. If it had not been for these pampered rebels, there would not he the hunted existence of the brave men hourly dodging death in the hills and hogs m | Ireland. Manv of our best commandants have fallen recently, and others are pining in English gaols. The Com-mander-in-Chief in his lady’s apartment in Dublin, daily sends them to thendoom. Volunteers who dare speak | their mind, are seizecl by specially paid j murderers and executed as spies and j traitors. Terror rules the Republican A nil v to-day. Boys arc driven by bullets and the lash to face well trained ! English soldiers. If Irish mothers rea- ' Used the brutal flogging and executions bv which these wretched youths are ; held in discipline, we would soon have an end of Michael Collins and his staff of tyrants.
