THE GREY COLLECPION. (Received This Day at 11.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, April 26. The Minister of the Interior is introducing a bill vesting the books and manuscripts known as the “C'rev collection” in the trustees of the South African public library, and empowering them to transfer to the New Zealand Go vernment such books and manuscripts in the collection as relate to the Maoris and Polynesia, and to receive in exchange from the New Zealand Government, books and manuscripts belonging to Sir G. Grey relating to South Africa.

A MAHSUD ATTACK. (Received this dav at 11.30 a.m.) DELHI, April 26. Under cover' of a dust storm, Maksuds in Waziristan ambushed the advanced troops of a British convoy, attacking with rifles and bombs. They inflicted severe casualties. Reinfoi cements were unable to advance owing to heavy fire. An aeroplane f>ombed the Maksuds, enabling the survivors to regain the main body of the convoy and bring in the wounded.
