The executive of the Royal Society of Health of Women and Children was present to oppose any suggestion that it should he brought under the control of Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards. Mr Sidey ALP. pointed out there was a misconception to say the Society was recognised as a charitable institution, its functions rather being of an exeeutional nature, the Society being re-or-ganised. The Society had thirty-four branches, fifty-six nurses and three hospitals. The Chairman assured Mr Sidey that there wtfs no intention that the work of the Society was to l>e taken over hy Boards.
