The elction of officers resulted as fallows: | Captain—Mr J. C. Macfarlane. i Secretary—Mr W. Staveley.

1 Treasurer —Mr T. R. Hickson. Committee—Mesdantes Macfarlane, and Boyd, Messrs McCaskill, Galbraith, Chesney, Perham and F. Williams. LADIES GOIJF CLUB. j ANNUAL REPORT. Your Committee beg to submit the following report for the year ended October, 1920. The season was a most successful one competition being keen for all matches and several members in both Senior and Junior grades effecting a reduction in handicap. Our congratulations arc specially due to Miss Moore who made the record score for the Links, playing a round of 96, lowering the previous record made by Mrs Malfroy, by 1 stroke and to Airs Park, who created a precedent in the Junior Grade by playing a score entitling her to an L.G.U. handicap. Fortunately there was again competition for the L.G.IT. silver medal, which lapsed last year—we now having 3 players with handicaps under 20. During the year, in addition to the usual monthly medal matches. Bogey matches were played, and also a flag match. We have to thank several generous donors for Trophies. Airs T. AV. Beare, of Melbourne presented a very handsome Rose Bowl for competition, and it was decided to play monthly Bogey matches—open for both Seniors and : Juniors, for points for this trophy—the competitor with most points to her : credit at the end of the season to hold the Bowl for the year. This is held by Aliss Moore for the ensuing year. Airs Dorreen gave a trophy for the Seniors for which a Flag match was played which was won by Airs Staveley, and AI rs Wilson donated a trophy for the Junior Championship. For competition in the coining season we have to thank Mrs Cranston for the gift of a beautiful vase and also Airs McCaskill who presented a trophy which has been unavoidably held over till the coming season, owing to the already crowded match list. The Senior Championship was won !> Aliss Aloore, with Airs Wilson as runnerup; and the Junior Championship by Mrs Fraser. The L.G.U. silver medal was won by Aliss Moore and the Bronze Medal by Mrs Galbraith. Aliss Aloore also winning the Electric Button. Two Inter-Club matches with Greymouth were played—one of which was won by Greymouth and one by our Club. ‘ The tea arrangements again worked most satisfactorily, and it is suggested that this season, these be managed by a sub-committee to bo appointed at the general meeting. We would remind the Seniors that at the end of this year, all handicaps ; are to >l>e readjusted l on the scores returned in 1920 and 1921. AVe sin- ■ cerelv hope that all players will return : scores and manage to keep them still ; further. ! We very much regret the loss to the i Club of Airs Stewart, who was our | Secretary for 3 years. Airs Stewart i was a very able and energetic Sec- 1 retary, and enthusiastic and unspar- | ing of her services in all matters per- j taining to the welfare of the Club, and will he much missed amongst us. We I wish her every happiness and success in her new home in Hamilton.

AVe regret losing some of our members through departure, but are pleased to welcome new ones.

In conclusion, the Committee thanks members for the ready assistance given to it during the past season, and also the “Guardian” newspaper for their courtesy in publishing reports of matches. The report was received.

Reference was made to Mrs AV. E. AVilliams, who had been captain of the club since 1913, and who had presented her usual trophy. Airs Williams’s continued' kindness and thoughtfulness for the Club, through her long and trying illness, is much appreciated by the members. The election of officers then took place and resulted: Captain—Mrs J. C. Macfarlane. Hon. See.—Mrs Boyd. Committee-—Mrs McCaskill with Captain and Hon. Sec. LIST OF TROPHY WINNERS.
