NORMA TALMA DOE, MONDAY
On Monday next Pollard’s are showing one of the greatest favourites of the movie picture screen, Norma Talniadge, in a big First National picture entitled “A Daughter of Two Worlds,” by Leroy Scott, a story of the two great worlds that lie side by side, yet each is practically unconscious of the other. The story of the two great streams of .humanity that pass and repass on the streets daily—contrasted in a way that grips the attention, thrills with the clash and conflict of opposite characters, amuses with its sidelights on human frailties, touches the tender spots with the pathos of people tossed in life’s storms, some to lie lifted to high pinnacles of success, and others to be trampled under the feet of the passing hordes. This is the tremendous drama of life by which Norma Talmadge, through hor powerful acting, probes the depths of human emotion, and sways you with her story.
