AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION", THE MEN’S VIEWS. LONDON, April 18. The miners have been having stormy meetings in Scotland and Wales. They denounced the Triple Alliance leaders and especially denounced Mr Thomas (the railway secretary). Sections of the railwaymen are now restive over the Alliance inaction. Ther have been mass meetings of the railwaymen at Carlisle (the big Junction between England and Scotland), and at Cardiff. The meetings strongly condemned the Triple Alliance’s action.. Two thousand of the men at Cardiff threaten a sectional strike unless the Triple Alliance is immediately established. The Dockers Union are supporting the miners and they refuse to bunker imported coal. A mass meeting of the South Welsh - Railwaymen, held at Cardiff demanded an immediate strike in support of the miners. They eventually decided to defer action for a week..
