Messrs Matson and Co. report as tol- c lows regarding their stock solo jester- a day; cl CHRISTCHURCH, April (5 ( Store Sheep:—A large yarding and ( dull sale. All classes were easier than a last week. Best sound-mouth ewes to t 14s, others from Bs. Four and 6-tooth t to 17s; two-tooth ewes from 12s to 16s; t others 8s (id to 10s 6d. Best wethers to 12s, best lambs 8s to 10s (id, others j 4s to os. The market was very do- j f pressed. j < Mutton.—A large yarding and the I I market was easier. Best wethers 18s j to 21s, prime 15s to 17s ; medium 12s (id . . to 15s ; ewes, best to 20s, prime 12s to , 14s. Lambs were easier all round. j i Beef.—A large yarding and a big | | proportion showing a want ot finish. | I The market showed a decline on last i week's prices. Best steers up to £lB ; j j medium £lO 10s to £ll : others £8 to . £lO. Best heifers to £l2. ( uws were : hard to sell. Store Cattle.— A large entry of very I mixed sorts and salt's were luud to ! effect.
