£22,000 BREACH SUIT. NEW YORK, Feb. 2. The breach of promise suit brought by Mrs Elsa Blum, of Arkville, New Jersey, against Mr Kingdon Gould, the young millionaire, son of Mr George Jav Gould, which created a considerable stir in New York, has been settled out j of court for £22,000, it is reported ioday. The settlement was reached after a long conference behind locked doors between the principals and their legal advisers. Mr Kingdon Gould married a governess of his father’s household two years ago, after Mrs Blum had obtained a divorce from her husband. The divorce, she alleged, was got at Mr Kingdon Gould’s instigation on the understanding that he and Mrs Blum were to he married. Mr Kingdon Gould entered a complete denial of the allegations.
