Lambert party nominees obtained a majority of Executive appointments in the Australian Labour Paty thus securing a continuance of the dominance of the Australian Labour Union in the affairs of the party to which Air Catts section is opposed. The conference appointed a committee to submit a housing scheme for the working classes AUSTRALIAN LABOUR PARTY. . SYDNEY, April 3. There was a. great fight for the Presidency of the Australian Labour Party. It resulted, amid much excitement, in the re-election to the post of the Lord .Mayor of Sydney, Mr Lambert, who defeated Mr Mitchell. The latter was the nominee of the Catts faction and reputedly of the N.S. Wales Government. Mr Lambert’s majority was -Hi votes. The struggle throughout was marked by various allegations which each faction made against the other.
