The Supreme Court sittings which commenced yesterday dealt with one criminal charge, an application for divorce, and 'two unopposed bankruptcy applications for discharge and then proceeded with the hearing of the petition of right by the KapTtea dredging Company, a claim for damages. This occupied the Court till nearly 10 pm. when an adjoaurnment was made till this morning and the hearing was continued at 10 o’clock. Common jurors yesterday afternoon were relieved attendance till noon to-day, owing to the fact that counsel in the other ease, H. H. Smith, v. Whilev and M’hi ley, had not expected the hearing to be called yesterday and bad mutually agreed to it being taken to-day. His Honour in holding over the taking of this ea*o till to-dav, expressed his disinclination to do so owing to the cost involved the Crown in the keeping of the jury panel for another day, which would not have been involved had Counsel been ready to proceed yesterday.
