AMENDED REGULATIONS. WELLINGTON. March 28 Amended regulations with regard to the overtime in the Rost and Telegraph Department and the pay and expenses of officers on relieving duty were gazetted on Thursday. The new regulations provide that payment for overtime, when made, will he made at the following rates:—To officers drawing salaries exceeding £409 and not exceeding £SOO, 3s (id per hour; exceeding £320 and not exceeding .£4OO, 3s ; .£258 to £320, 2s (id ; £205 to £258, 2s ; not exceeding .£205, Is (id ; message boys. Bd. No payment is to be made for any overtime performed hv the senior controlling officer in any office or branch nor will ally supervising officer performing ordinary staff duty be entitled to such payment. Officers called upon to perform relieving duty which necessitates their absence at. night from home are to he paid allowances at the following rates — i o officers drawing salaries not exceeding fffi't, actual and reasonable expenses: to officers drawing salaries exceeding £'l6o ami not exceeding £320, 10s a day; to officers drawing salaries exceeding £320 and not exceeding £SOO, 12s (id; to officers drawing salaries exceeding £SOO, 15s. Claims made by officers drawing salaries not exceeding £l6O per annum for a ici'und of actual expenses are to lie supported by vouchers, and will he subject to revision by the -Secretary.
