VICE-REGAL VISIT TO HOKITIKA.
APRIL 9th TO APRIL 11th. Captain Arthur R. W. Curtis, Secretary to His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, Lord Jellicoe, lias advised the heads of local bodies at Hokitika that Their Excellencies (Lord and Lady Jellicoei hope to make their postponed tour of the northern part of the South Island during the first half of April. By the itinerary arranged, the YieeRegal party proposes to arrive at Hokitika about 11 o’clock on Saturday morning, April 9th, and to leave for Otira on the morning of ATonday, April 11th.
In the course of a cordial letter it is mentioned that their Excellencies hope to meet the citizens and and to visit t!ie lakes.
The party will consist of their Excellencies, Lord and Lady Jellicoe, the Honorable Lucy Jellicoe, one A.D.C., and Captain Curtis. While in Hokitika Admiral Lord Jellicoe and pnrtv will stay at Keller’s Hotel.
hi connection with the foregoing the local bodies will confer on Tuesday as to a suitable programme for the recep‘ tion and entertainment of the ViceRegal party while in the district.
