Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesteiday:— Store Sheep—A small yarding for tins time of the year and . all classes nl shoeper were easier to sell. Best sound mouth ewes no to 2-. others from 12/to 16 -: best two tooth ewes up to 23/6: Others from 12/-^ to 16/-; best two tooth ewes up to 2.316; others irom 121- to 18/-; best withers from 13/to 15'-; others from 40 6. Best rape lambs sold equal to last week rates, hut there were very few in.

Store cattle- A fairly large yarding, hut thi' demand was very dull and all sales were very hard to make. Not many big cuttle yarded. Best steers g(i /!()/- to £8 ; 18 months steers £*2/1 o/t„ £3/176; best heifers £4/10/- Lo £5/7/6: 18 months heifers £2/7/6 to £3 10—; cows £2/5- to £4/10/-. Beef—A very largo yarding and tho market was again easier all round, especially for inferior sorts and cows. Extra prime steers sold up to £2l/10/-: prime £l6 to £lB/10/-; medium £4 2/15 - to £ls 10/-; others £5/1 O’- to £ll/5/-. heifers to £l3/12/6: prime £B/10 to £l2/17/0; others £5 to £8: cows £5 to £3710'-. .Mutton A larger yarding than last week and the market opened easier all round for all sorts, but afterwaids improved slightly, but taking it all round was not so good as last week. Some exceptionally fine wethers were varded. Best wethers 23/- to 30/-; prime 17/6 to 21/6; medium 14/0 to 17'-; lighter 12 0 to 14/-; ewes to 24/0. prime 13/6 to 17/6; medium 12/- to 13/others 5/9 to 10 0. Lambs were slightly firmer.
