POLLARD’S PICTURES.

TO-NIGHT

To-night at the "Princess Theatre, Pollards are screening a great English production, “ Air AVu,” starring Matheson Haig as Mr AVu, and Lillah McCarthy as Airs Grego, the picture is produced by the Stoll Film Co., Ltd., London, under the direction of Mauricec Elvey. The story deals with life in the great Chinese'Empire, and nothing finer lias been seen on the movie screen. She had loved, not wisely, hut too well, an English youth—a foreign infidel. The ancient house of AVu was desecrated, and the penalty was death. All night they had prayed—Nang Ping to the Goddess of Mercy—her father to the God of Justice, to him strength to carry out his stern purpose. Now, knowing the dread fate that awaited her, with firm steps she walked into the presence from which there would he no returning.
