The details of the settlement of tho waterside dispute are pot yet published. but will be found to cover a much larger field than the guarantees originally required by the employers. Questions were raised by the watersiders regarding working conditions of n somewhat technical nature, and, in regard to overtime itself, it was mutually agreed that if domestic or personal circumstances warrant a man declining to work overtime, no objection would he taken to his abstention.
POSITION AT WELLINGTON

The waterfront has resumed its customary appearance of bustle and industry and work is proceeding as usual, if anything, more than tho csual expedition is being displayed. No objection was raised l>:y the men to working overtime to-night.
Fourteen boats were working and it is estimated that about 1200 men were working to-day. Tt is stated that another 500 could have been employed.
Many watersiders were. absent as they <1 id not know the trouble had ended. It is anticipated' that- tally 1000 men will he working to-morrow.
The agreement arrived at will be submitted to the Unions throughout the Dominion.
THE DUNEDIN SITUATION
DUNEDIN, March 10
About 180 watersiders were engaged this morning to work ships. One hundred and fifty were distributed between the Paloona and Kaiapoi The Paloona sails this evening for Lyttelton, Wellington and Alelbourne. One gang is engaged in the discharge of timber from the schooner Samar. There were sufficient men this morning to start on the Tarawera and Te \nau. which are expected to comn enee this afternoon.
