The city of Dusseldorf is accepting the Allied occupation with true Prussian stoicism. The shops are open and the factories continue busy. The Socialist and Labour cases, indeed, seem to look upon the presence of the Allies with no unfriendly eye. A deputation of Workers interviewed the French Commander and promised to assist in maintaining order if they were only allowed to follow their ordinary occupations. , The Imperialists and friends of the old regime have made an unsuccessful attempt to induce the workers to signalise the Allied occupation by a strike. It is officially announced that che heads of the Allied delegation have met and have settled various details regarding the application of *he sanctions to Germany in accordance with the views of their' experts.
