MINISTERIAL REPLY. The following letter has been received by Mr Seddou M.P., from the lit. Hon, the Prime Minister, which explains itsell : “With reference to the complaint of the Herepo Dairy Factory which you referred to me on the 17th. ult. at ! (okitjka, and in which it was stated that) the Westland Choose Factories wore of opinion that they were not getting their fair share of shipping, 1 have looked into this matter and fine! the position to be as follows: Allotments of shipping space for North Island and West Coast Cheese are made monthly direct to the National Dairy Association. The Association advised that the quantity of space allotted is appropriatod to factories in strict accordance with the order in which cheese is received into cool stores. This procedure is on no account departed from and the Westland factories receive their exact proportion with factories in other districts.”
