ADDINGTON STOOK MARKET. A DULL MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday:— Beef—Another big yarding, but not so much good quality as recently, lhe market was firm for all go<xl sorts. Best steers .920 to £2l/7/-; prime £l7 15/- to £l9/10: medium and inferior 99/5/- to £l7; heifers £6 to £l2 10s., cows £5/5 - to £l2/15/-. Store Cattle—Another very mixed • yarding, and practically no big cattle were offered. The demand xvas very dull throughout. One line of 3 yrs. heifers £5/5/-; 12 to 18 months steers £3/5/- to £3/15,-; yearlings 35/- to £2/15/-; store cows £2 to £3/15/-. Mutton—A fair yarding and the mar- - ket again showed a decided drop. Best wethers to 27/-; prime 22/- to 25/6; lighter and inferior 14/6 to 21/6. Ewes in the same proportion. Best exves about 19/6 for freezing. Butchers were unable to operate at the prices. Fat j lambs also showed another decline. j Stoi’t, Sheep—Another large entry and j tin' market still on the decline. Best rape lambs from 12/- to 15/-. others t from 8/- to 11/6; inferior from 5/-. Best sound mouth eyes from 10/6 to 13 6, others from 6/- upwards. Best xvethers from 12/- to 15/11. The market was lifeless and is likely to he worse.
