ISeddoc, the Australian representative of the Canadian Government merchant marine line, stated he had arranged for steamers to visit Brisbane after calling at Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney. Douglas (Captain), and Toone (Manageir) were the recipients of a presentation at the Cricket Association’s farewell. Douglas said he would never forget the hospitable treatment. The team were beaten by a side which batted better, bowled better and dropped fewer catches. Toone thanked the public for the sporting manner they invariably treated the visiting players. The few isolated exceptions were unworthy of notice.
