ANNUAL CONFERENCE. WELLINGTON, March 7 At the Methodist Conference, the ellVct of the cinema on the community came under review. It was reported that managers declared that the public demanded a particular class of film. One speaker protested against this declaration. He said this taste had been created by the moving-picture business. The Conference expressed a desire that the utmost care should be exercised in tbe pictures released and heartily supported tbe Minister of Internal Affairs in any action lie may take. A short discussion took place on the Bible in schools. It was resolved that, the future policy of tbe Church oil the movement be referred to the Synods to report to next Conference.
