AUCKLAND, March 7. Mrs Anne Marsden. of New Lynn one of the passengers who was injured in the motor bus accident on Saturday died in the hospital to-day. Deceased suffered, severely from shock. This makes the second victim as the result of the accident. FATALITIES. ROTORUA, March 7. "William Fairley, aged 70, was found dead in bed on his farm, Kaharoa, on Saturday morning. At the inquest this afternoon the verdict was death from apoplexy. John Williams, eight years old, died at the hospital this afternoon from injuries to his intestines sustained by a kick from a horse on his father’s farm at Ngongontnhi, on February 27th. FIRE AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, March 7. A fire caused by an electric iron (the current having been accidentally left on when the premises were closed on Saturday afternoon) broke out in the workroom occupied by Elsinore Ltd., in Hallenstein Bros premises at the corner of Princess Street and the Octagon. The premises were stocked with ladies gowns and finery, of which there was a heavy stock. All was more or less damaged by smoke and water. The stock was injured for £2,850 in the Standard Office. The stock of F. H. King and Co. Ltd., Woollen Warehouse men on the same flat also suffered serious damage from smoko and water. Their insurances are £IO,OOO in the Hoval office. BOOKMAKER FINED £W.
