CANTERBURY EDUCATION BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Canterbury Education Board was held at Christchurch on Friday. Mr AV. A. Banks presided in the absence of the Chairman, Mr K. H. Andrews, and there were present: The Hon. J. Grimmond, M.L.C., Messrs 11. Bignell, J. A laze, G. AV. Armitage, J. Jamieson, A. J. Peverill, T. Hughes and W. S. Spencer. The Agriculture Committee’s report stated’There were five applicants for the position of agricultural instructoi, South Canterbury. After due consideration it was recommended that the matter of making a permanent appointment be held over for three months, and in the meantime Afr A. Sitter Holloway was appointed to fill the position temporarily. It was agreed that Air Aloodio he asked to take up his duties in North Canterbury oil April 1. APPOINTMENTS.
