The Labour Party will meet here on Tuesday, and will discuss the plan of action for the short session. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day reserved judgment- was delivered in a 1 case heard, last week, in which the Inspector of Awards' proceeded against the Harbour Board in connection, with en alleged breach of award concerning the payment- of award wages to seven men. In regard to five of the men it was pointed out that they were only casually employed connecting up cluster lights in ships’ holds, a work requiring no practical knowledge of electricity. 1 The case in so far as these in on were concerned was dismissed. It A TAN A. THE MAORI MTRACED MAN. WELLINGTON, March 1. In the course of an address at I 1 Methodist Conference to-night, the Rev. Robert Haddon, a Maori missionary referring to Ratann, the miracle worker said that Ratana was his second cousin. Ratana's grantfatlier was a

Ratana was against everything that tied the Maori down. To accept Christ as a personal Saviour was the only wav to build the Maori up. Ratana lias said to hint. “1 get the people. You ministers feed them with the Word.” Ratana lie declared, was on right lines. Ratana deed a red, ‘‘l am only a finger post pointing von to God.” (Loud applause.)

POST SESSIONAL ADDRESS. CHRISTCHURCH. March 3. Air Sullivan ALP. delivered a postsessional address to-night. He said he though Sip James Allen was quite able to represent New Zealand at the Imperial ■Conference. Af'r Afassey should remain in New Zealand eeing that our financial outlook is so bad. Air E. J. Howard. ALP., expressed a similar opinion. Air Sullivan received a vote of thanks and of confidence.
