charges against officials
WELLINGTON. February 24. References to the existence of native unrest in that part of the Saino.ui Islands controlled by the United States Government appeared in the cables a short time ago. Advices now received show that the authorities set up a Court: of Enquiry to investigate the trouble. The Court’s report, which is now available, makes interesting readin,, in view of the statements published of" there being a certain amount, of unrest amongst the natives of Western Samoa, which is governed under a mandate bv the New Zealand Govern-

The report refers to the fact that from the early part of 1920 there has boo,, a state of onrost amongst the natives and resultant financial loss due to failure on the part of natives to keep up copra production; also that Commander Kail, of the United States Naw. augmented the feeling of mins through misdirected zeal and luck tact.
