The cliiel business •oncerning tbe Westland district, was o the effect of the equipment of a moor ambulance, to be attached to the tVestland Hospital. Correspondence ie •eived from the Health Department, o the effect that the former suggested uovisiou of the. equipment from the M'encc Department would not materali/,e. After reviewing the correspon-
dence, and on the motion of Mr Cogue, seconded by Mr W. Kearns, that a public meeting be convened for the purpose of discussing methods for the provision of this equipment, it was left in the hands of the organiser to arrange the meeting. The Health Department ofici to assist the association by giving twenty-four shillings in the pound subsidy, to all moneys subscribed towards this project. Tlio Association intend to ask the co-operation of every local body of this district, to assist to bring about this much needed reform, |or the conveyance of tlio sick and injured to tlio public or private hospitals. Tn the very near future complete methods of organisation necessary to bring about this improved requirement to the local hospital administration, will lie placed before the public.
