The theft of four tons of sugar, from Bond and Bond’s warehouse over a pci ii'd of nearly nine months was admitted in the Police Court by Will. David James (storeman), and Walter Strong (carter). Accused had made statements implicating themselves and others. Sentence wa.s deferred pending a charge of receiving stolen sugar against three other persons.
