POLLARD’S PjCTMRES. To-night at the Princess Theatre Pollards are giving a grand benefit performance in aid of the local- Fire Brigade. The star drama in to-night’s display is a Bluebird feature, and a big supporting programme will also he screened. On Thursday the great Japanese actor Sessuc llaryakawa will be featured in E. Phillips Oppenheim’s famous novel “The Illustrious Prince.” a story of mystery and intrigue, love and loyalty, in the smart set of London society. He had sworn to avenge in blood the debt to the man who had dishonoured his father’s name. He trailed the unscrupulous adventurer to London, and frustrated his attempt to compromise the wife of his clearest friend, Lie Duke of Devenham. In the dead of night, in dense fog, the adventurer wont to keep his rendezvous with the Duchess; the Duke learned of the affair, land went to intercept them. Prince AFaiyo, the avenger, also trailed tho man through the fog. The adventurer was found dead in tho cab. Did tho Duko kill him? Did tho Prince? AYlio was the other man involved in the mystery? The latest episode of “Smashing Barriers” will also ho screened.
