SETTLED

GISBORNE, February 22. The Waipaoa Freezing Works disput, causing the “go-slow” policy of mutton butchers, which commenced last Thursday, was settled to-d!ay. Aftei a conference between the directors of the company and the men’s representatives, the conference arrived at. a solution, the men being granted an increaso of eighteen pence per hundred, making the present scale £2 ss. 4d. Work will resume to-morrow morning. This dispute effected over 200 men.
