BANK ROBBERY AT MURCHISON
OVER £2,000 STOLEN.
Word was received in town to-day tliat a daring bank robbery was perpetrated at tlie Bank of New Zealand, Murchison (between Westport and Nelson) during last night. From the meagre news to band so far, it is reported that the officer on duty at the bank was found this morning on the premises gagged and bound, while the whole of the available cash in the bank was missing. The amount of money involved is over £2,000 in £2O, £lO, £5 and £1 notes uid a few pounds in gold. The police have been advised of the circumstances, but so far there is no news of any arrests being made. V
