Tidal waves flooded all the bouses at Debenhani township. The damage is ten thousand; the life toll is unknown, but the fate of three Malays and a native is uncertain. SYDNEY MILK SUPPLIES. (Received This Day at 10.40 a.m.) SIDNEY, Feb 22. Tiie Attorney-General has announced that if the dairymen deliberately withhold the milk supplies they are liable to prosecution under tlu> Profiteering Act. The Milk Employees’ Union passed a resolution that if the country farmers refuse to send milk supplies to the city the Government he requested to immediately commandeer the dairies. The Union will find the necessary labour, milk the cows and distribute the milk. The Lord Mayor lias indicated a scheme by which Sydney’s milk supply would be municipalised. He stated the Minister of Health approves of the idea. The City Council would push on with it as rapidly as possible.

The scheme is being carefully considered with a view to balancing exports,- against this' excess. The author of the scheme is the Governor of the Bank of Japan who is urging manufacturers, bankers and exporters to co-operate in stimulating the export trade. i

STORM RESULTS. PERTH, February 22.
