M’sP. TOUR. GISBORNE, Feb. 19. The Parliamentary Party set out this morning on a 350 miles tour of the East Coast. The weather continued favourable. The visitors proceeded by the main coast road. Representatives of local bodies endeavoured to impress the importance of the completion of about 30 miles of metalling, enabling motor traffic to be maintained beyond the summer months. The party luncheoned at Tolaga Bay and proceed to Hon Ngata’s residence at Waiomatini tonight. They subsequently inspect developments now taking place in northern Waipu and return to Gisborne on Tuesday.
