Stouts and heavies are firm and kips unchanged, whilst lights are declining a farthing. AUSTRALIAN TRADE FIGURES. MELBOURNE, Eeb. 18. Imports for the half year ended 31st December, exceed the exports by £26,229,000 sterling, as contrasted with the corresponding period of 1919, when the exports exceeded the imports by thirty-three million. Obituary.—Sir Frank Madden, exSpeaker of the Assembly, and brother of the late Sir John Madden, former Lieut.-Governor, and Chief Justice. SENTENCES. SYDNEY, Feb. 18. James Pierce was sentenced to a. year and Henry to six months imprisonment in connection with the St. Hilda murder, cabled on 3rd November.
