FAREWELL PERFORMANCE
PRINCESS THEATRE TO-NIGHT
To-night at tho Princess Theatre, the popular N.Z. Diggers’ Company will play a welcome return visit to Hokitika for one night only, when a programme of new and varied items ot interest will be presented including musical gems, monologues, character impersonalities, eccentric studies, humorous sketches, and many novelties. The company consists ol twenty members, including an orchestra of ten, which is one of the special features ot the entertainment. Included in the personnel are the inimitable Stan Lawson, “the misleading lady,” lano. Fama, comedian, Gus Proctor, tenor, Lon Lome comedian, Gus Dawson ragtime exponent and dancer, F. Perkins, bniitone and Lon Walker, dancer and light comedian. The splendid performances given on the recent visit ot two nights has left such a- longing for more that there is hound to be another bumpei attendance to-night. The programme is a most varied one. introducing a number of entirely new numbers and including, by special request the Maori scene, that proved so very enjoyable at the second performance’ a fortnight ago. Undoubtedly a warm welcome hack will he given to the entertainers to-night. For the convenience of patrons the Ross train from Hokitika this. evening has been delayed from 7.15 till 10.30 p.m., to enable the performance to be attended.
