BILLIARDS.

LONDON, Feb 8. Fry has scored 2,000 and Hooper 1,720. FRY RESTING HOOPER. . LONDON, Feb. 8. Hooper early in the afternoon looked dangerous, with breaks of 11 and 58. Then Fry drew away with a break of 10(5, followed by others of 52 and 58. Hooper put in a nice 54. Fry replied with 60. He is now in a winning position, though Hooper displayed great skill, scoring 78 off the red alone. The result is disappointing from an Australian standpoint ,after Hooper’s brilliance yesterday afternoon, hut Fry showed more stamina and lasting power. Hooper would have been wiser if lie relied more on the losing hazard game. Fry is much the better at the top of the table. Hooper did not relax his efforts, and there always seemed a chance of his making a big break, but it lias not come off.
