It is understood that the German Foreign Office has intimated to the United States Commissioner Drosol, at Berlin, that errors in the Versailles Treaty made it advantageous to both United States and Germany to conclude a separate peace, and working arrangement. The Germaii Government is also understood to have expressed tlie hope that Mr Harding’s administration will bring about such a situation in America’s relations with Europe which will make possible negotiations by German and Allied powers for a new economic adjustment.
