The completed details (cabled on January 27) are subject to reference to the Imperial Conference in June. TURKEY’S NEW CLAIM. CONSTANTINOPLE, February 3. According to the press, Turkey is now submitting the following new claims at a London conference on the Peace terms: (1) The abrogation of the privileges accorded to the Greeks in the Smyrna region by the Treaty cf Sevres; (2) the autonomy of Thrace, based on the prinicple of nationality. (3) The maintenance under Turkish soY--<4, reignty of the Turkish territories ceded to Armenia by the Treaty of Sevres ; (4) The modification of the vonomie clauses affecting the sovereignty and independence of Turkey; (5) The modification of the military clauses of tlie Sevres Treaty, in order to enable Tui'ke.v to possess an army sufficient for her own defence. '

It is understood that the German Foreign Office has intimated to the United States Commissioner Drosol, at Berlin, that errors in the Versailles Treaty made it advantageous to both United States and Germany to conclude a separate peace, and working arrangement. The Germaii Government is also understood to have expressed tlie hope that Mr Harding’s administration will bring about such a situation in America’s relations with Europe which will make possible negotiations by German and Allied powers for a new economic adjustment.

EXTREMISTS AT DELHI. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) DELHI, Feb. 5. Extremists are arranging the complete hold-up at Delhi for Wednesday, when the Duke of Connaught is inaugurating the Council of State. It is intended to make Delhi a city of mourning. Fifteen deputies refused to attend the Mejlis. The opening was delayed three weeks pending the v arrival from the. provinces of other representatives sufficient to form a quorum.
