According to best informations obtainable amidst conflicting repoits; statements and assertions by various interested parties, Mr Rickard will probably promote a Dempsey-Carpcntier fight alone, sometime prior to the 6th of September, and if Dempsey is successful, lie will meet Willard on 6tli September. There is no mention being made of huge purses. Rickard is anxious to bold the bout in New A ork, where the recent ruling of Boxing Commission makes fifteen dollars the highest admission fee. Rickard is planning to offer the boxers only a percentage of the receipts.
