It, is Stated in Government circles m I Dublin that there are signs. that tie Irish Republican Army is urgently m need of funds. Collections were made in the streets of Dublin on Sunday and also from houses. A number of collectors were arrested. The authorities are in possession of a notice sent to householders in the County of 1 >PPC>' ar v announcing that the Colonel of the mid-Tipperary Brigade bad decided to impose a levy in order to army anc equip the Brigade. SINN fSTmbUSH. (Received This Day at 9.45 n.m.l LONDON, February 3. One hundred Sinn Feiners commandeered a house belonding to Thomas King a magistrate, twelves miles from Skibliereen. He was beaten into unconsciousness and dragged by a rope across the country all night long, placed against a «;'l and afforded, alternatives of resignation from the force or to be shot. Refusing, lie was again dragged across the country and thrown amongst the pigs. Ho was then marched and driven another twenty miles when he was told he was free to return to the barracks. Iho Judge awarded the victim £2,000. Evidence was given that another became demented and died.
