ADDINCTON STOCK MARKET. A FAIR .MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday:—

Store sheep.—A large entry, practically all lambs. The market opened linn for good sorts, hut gradually cased as the sale progressed. Medium and inferior lambs, owing to the numbers coming forward, were decidedly easier and towards the end of the sale were very hard to quit. Best rape lambs 25s to 26s (3d, good 21s (3d to 24s (id, others 16s (id to 20s (id ; culls 10s 6d and upwards. The demand for adult sheep was very dull and unchanged. One good line of 4 and (3-tooth owes made 28s. Store cattle.—A small yarding and no quotable lines offering. The market was dull and lifeless. Beef.—A smaller yarding, including some of real good quality. The market was slightly firmer, the number offering being not too many for butchers requriements. Best, steers sold from £2f to £26 7s (icT, prime (19 10s to

£23 10s; medium I'M 10s to £l9; light or £9 5s to £l3 15s. Cows to £7 5s others £l2 15s to £ls 10s; stores £• 10s to £ll 15s; heifers to £l9 7s (id prime £l2 10s to £ls ; others £9 15s t< £l2.

Mutton.—A fair entry including some good lines of wethers. The market was liimor all round, and freezing buyers were unable to operate to any extent. The salt' was farly «?vcn throughout.
