I BY TJ'fIjKGH APII —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, February 3 Recognition of the long period of .service rendered by Sir William Fraser, as member for Wakatipu was made at Cromwell last evening by his former constituents of all political shades n Otago Central, Upper Clutha and Cromwell district. The function took the form of a banquet. Sir William Fraser was presented with an elaborate illum’nated address, in album form, detailing his services as member extending over 26 years, referring to his elevation to Ministerial rank and the straightforward, honourable, conscientious manner be had controlled tho departments under his charge. Sir Wm. Eraser returned thanks in an appreciative reminiscent speech, during which he sounded a note of warning for economy and increased production.
