STAFFORD NEWS.

(Our own correspondent.)

It will be seen by the advertisement in this issue, that a social and dance will be held in Turner’s Hall on Wednesday evening next, to give the numberless friends of Miss Linklater an opportunity of meeting her before her departure for the North Island, and expressing their flood wishes for her future happiness and success, and thanks for her past freely-given assistance at all social and patriotic functions. This young lady will be greatly missed on the ladies’ committees, where her amiability and willingness to .help has always been so highly appreciated; and it is earnestly hoped that her future may be blessed with unmixed good health, happiness, and prosperity.
