CONCERT AND BALL AT KOKATAHI.

The concert and hall held on Wednesday. Jan. 2(>th, at the Longford Hall, .Lower Kokatalii, in aid of the Kilties Rand fund, was a great success. \ isitors came from Arahura Valley and Kiiatnpu. The audience was very appreciative, encores being the' order of

Hit' evening. The dancing of the four piu'iiilcs w;i. a splendid item, and thoroughly admiied. Mr ('. Gibbons was in good form and made an excellent impression. Before the concert, tlie Pipe Band under Ripe .Major Cullen, rendered a number of selections which were highly appreciated. Miss M. Moore and Mr A. Lawn were the accompanists. The concert and dance was looked upon ,i> great treat, and an imitation was given to have the concert repeated at Koiterangi at an early date. The dance music was supplied by Mr and Mrs Kelly, and the Royal Orchestra, assisted by Mr R. Cullen. Mr J. E, Wade returned thanks for the cordial support, also to (lie performers for their kindly assistance, to Miss M. Moore and Mr Lawn for presiding at the piano, and to Mrs Graham for the use of the Hall. Mr Jacobs kindly acted as M.C. The programme of the concert was as follows:

Opening selection, the Royal Orchestra ; Highland Fling, Gibbons (2), King, Mclntosh; song (encored) “Annie Laurie,” Mr W. Slmnd ; recitation (encored), .Master J.
