ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE

At the above yards yesterday the second fat stuck sale of the year was held, the yarding comprising 61 fat wethers and 15 head of cattle. A large percentage of the latter being cow and heifer beef, all of which, however, was of excellent quality. There was lair competition throughout the sale and prici's were equal, if not a little better than those recorded at the last fixture. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co sold as follows:—

(il fat sheep for Mr J. H. Cropper at 27s (id. On account air J. D. McKay. ] fat cow at €ls, 1 at €ll 10s, 2 at €lO 12s fid, 2 at €lO 2s fid, 3 at €lO, 1 heifer at €lO 2s fid, 2 steers at €ll 7b fid, 2 at €9. On account Mr das. Minehan, 3 bullocks at £l9 15s, 2 at €lB 12s fid, 1 at £l7 10s, 3 at €l7, 1 at €l6, 2 at €l4, 2 at €l2 10s, 2 at £l2, 3 at €ll 12s fid, 2 heifers at Cl 3 2s fid, 1 at £ll 10s, 2at €ll, 1 at €lO 17s fid. Til. Houston and Co. report:— At the above yards yesterday our entry consisted of 22 head of cattle, llidie was a good attendance of buyers and as the 'supply offering at the sale was not equal to the demand, competition was keen, ox beef, realising 50/- per hundred, cow and heifer beef a bit easier.
