The Wellington Racing Club’s Summer Meeting was continued in glorious weather and in tile presence of arecord attendane. The track was -in excellent order. The tote handled £lO2, 784. Results: —
Mungaroa Jumpers’ Flat. —King Star 1, Zola 2, Pacific Slope 3. Won by a length and a half. Time. 2.39. January Welter.—Miss Mimic 1, Sycorax 2, Nobleman 3. Won bv a length and a half. Time 1.39. Fitzherbert Handicap.—Backsheesh 1, Plats 2, Scion 3. A great race won by a bead. Time 59 4-5.
Kelbnrn Plate.— Gloaming 1, Rational 2, Statuette 3. Time 45 secs An Australasian record.
Racing Club Handicap.—Eleus 1, Esperanec 2, Lovematch 3. Mon bj *

There was good weather and a record attendance, the track was in splendid order and the racing was interesting throughout. The tote handled £30,536 as against £31,578 on the first day of last year.
Hack Hurdles.—Dick 1, Whizz Bang 2, Hautawa 3. Won by three lengths. Time 3.20 1-5. Hautawa was favourite.
Himetaugi Hack. Prohafe l, American Beauty 2, Stutter 3. Won by a length. Time 1.17 1-5. Foxton Cup.—Simon 1, Crucellc 2. Flight Commander 2. Mon by a length and a half. Time 2.11.
Maiden Race.- Gay Patron 1. Lady Sykes 2, Notawede 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.54 4-5. Awaliou Hack Handicap.—Convention 1. M'apping 2,- Merry Queen 3. A great race, necks separating the first lour horses. Time 1.52. Anniversary Handicap. Barley Corn I. Waimatoa 2, Lady General 3. M'on by a nose, a head between second and third. Time 1.17. M'nimatoa was favourite.
