An Inhf.hrent Weakness. The weakness of pacificism as a practical faith is that it leaves the field to the forces of evil. The person who would he killed rather than fight may ho very noble and heroic, but lvis sacrifice is useless. If his doctrine be pushed to its logical conclusion, only the, militarists will survive. He who loves peace must be prepared, if need he, to wield the sword in its cause.
