108 MILES OIL PIPE-LINE.

NEW YORK, Nov 29. Mr James C. Stewart, head of a firm of contractors hero and the man who put down the first submarine nets in the Humber at the beginning of the war, has gone to Europe, with, he says, a contract for £2,200,000 to lay a pipeline from Havre to Paris, 108 miles, to convey crude oil for fuel. The contract time is one year, and he will receive an extra £SOOO bonus if he finishes it in 10 months.
